With warmer weather, the water temperatures have started to increase and the bite has responded. Plenty of nice walleyes have been caught this week.

Panfish action is going strong with most crappies done spawning or just finishing up, while bluegills are bit behind the crappies as far as the spawn.

Wet start turned into a beautiful end – lots of crappies.

Caught just about everything this week. Fun bite for sure. Most fish are still shallow. Things are moving along nicely and are right on track. Warm weather ahead, summer patterns drawing near.

Catfish bite picks up as many fish move deeper.

On inland lakes, it’s time to focus on late-spring and early summer patterns – 10 feet or less for bass/bluegill is almost always a good bet.

It’s high time for muskies on inland waters around the Buckeye State, and flathead catfish, too.

The panfish spawn is in varying phases, wrapped up in the south, ongoing in central Wisconsin, and just starting in the north.

Bass season officially opens June 15, summer arrives.
