The respite from the heat allowed a few more people to hit the water this past week, but did they catch fish?

Bass and panfish providing more consistent action than walleyes.

Reefs are holding nice numbers of walleyes. Anchor up and jig or pull spinners.

Changing tactics a bit, not because old tactics aren’t working, but because new tactics are getting bigger bites.

Bottom bouncers and spinners in 20-25 feet of water with a third of a crawler, lead core and cranks along with bobbers and leeches have all been producing walleyes on a consistent basis the past

Great Lakes fishing remains good up and down the coasts.

One of the highlights of this fishing report is the bass bite on East and West Harbors on Lake Erie.

Catfish bite heats up with scorching temps.

Black crappie report has been mostly fair at fisheries across the state.
