The yellow perch fishing season on Lake Erie, which typically ramps up in the fall, has started a bit earlier.

On Lake Erie, anglers were steadily increasing their yellow perch harvests.

The current weather has a lot of people talking about perch fishing, so check out where they’re biting – and rods and reels you should have when perch fishing.

Where they’re finding and catching some nice walleyes these days.

Leech supply drying up so anglers turn to crawlers or minnows for ‘eyes.

On the south end, lots of limits of walleyes along with some big fish being caught.

This is going to be presentation heavy, focusing on the top five baits that are working right now.

The surprise bite this week is on this lake, where anglers are catching decent numbers of this often-overlooked species.
