Fishing for most species has improved in most lakes, streams and rivers in the last few weeks as waters cool and fish become more active and aggressive.
Walleye fishing continues to be good in both the Western and Central Basins.
In this popular fishery, the fishing was productive, with catches of pike, smallmouth bass and perch. On occasion there were a few walleye caught as well, a big change over earlier this month.
The catfish bite has been good – event excellent in some water ways.
