Central New York Lake Ontario The lake fishery is done for the season so nothing new to report. Salmon River The flow is 335 cubic feet per second (CFS) as of October 28 at the

Anglers reported decent catches of walleye on this popular fishery as the water cooled down.

The few anglers who have gone out have had decent success for walleyes. The perch bite has definitely been off, though.

Walleyes are mainly being taken with minnows or horizontal baits such as Jiggin’ Raps on deep structure or shallower, shoreline areas – just depends on the lake.

Walleyes, saugers, pike, jumbo perch and an occasional crappie or sturgeon all in the mix.

Crappie bite picks up as autumn feeding peaks.

Lake trout action was was either super hot or super cold at this popular fishery.

Walleye and panfish action appears to be picking up in spots.
