Focusing on the old lake shoreline in 20-25 feet of water with bottom-bouncers and spinners or pulling plugs has been producing a consistent walleye bite.
On Lake Erie, yellow perch were abundantly caught out from the Raisin Riven using minnows on perch rigs in around 20 feet of water.

The dog days of summer have arrived. People are still catching fish, however, finding the aggressive fish by covering more water.
More boaters are heading farther off shore, too, finding some action spread out there now.
The walleye bite on the Western Basin of Lake Erie has been a bit slower, but anglers are turning their attention to yellow perch. Catfish on inland waters are going strong.
It is helpful to cover water to find fish and keep presentations in front of fish, many of which are out on the deep mud.
