Fishing prospects are a bit better than they were in our last report despite the prolonged heat and drought. Lake Erie’s Central Basin in particular is providing for good walleye and yellow perch fishing.
Fishing efforts from these ports were strong over the past week.

There are some salmon seen crashing outside the river mouth here.
Bittier seems to be the most consistent lake producing walleyes right now, but you still need to be selective.
Jigging continues to pick up as the waters cool.
Water temps are cooling and there is definitely some fish movement happening.
On Lake Michigan, salmon fishing has picked back up for anglers going offshore to 110-plus feet to find cooler water.
