Milwaukee Still reeling from a decade of extremely poor survival of young fish, the Lake Michigan yellow perch population likely won’t get much help from the 2000 year-class. As part of its annual young-of-the-year (YOY) yellow perch assessment, Department of Natural Resources crews found only two YOY perch in recent samplings from Kenosha to Sheboygan.
