Lake George continued to offer safe ice, but at this stage of the season keep an eye out for weather changes, pressure ridges and cracks, bubblers and any sign of weak ice and open water. 

Not hearing a lot now on the ice fishing front, but the April 1 trout opener looms and in a typical year some of the region’s waters see stockings of trout ahead of the opener.
