Lake St. Clair Anglers caught largemouth and smallmouth bass in 7 feet of water along the shoreline last week on Lake St. Clair. Most fish were caught south of the Clinton River cutoff launch and near the mouth of the Detroit River. Crankbaits produced the best results. Dark green and crayfish were good colors. Those targeting perch and panfish did best

EASTERN UP Pickford Area Perch and splake were hitting in Lake Michigan off the docks at Hessel. The rivers are still full of suckers. Fair numbers of perch have been caught in Lake George and above the locks on the St. Marys River. Good numbers of Atlantic salmon have been caught at the power house.

NORTHWESTERN LP Traverse City Area Lake herring and lake trout were keeping anglers busy last week on Lake Michigan’s East Grand Traverse Bay. Those fishing Swedish pimples in  35 to 75 feet of water reported good results.
