Walleye fishing on Lake Erie was consistently good. Anglers trolled bottom-bouncers with crawler harnesses around 30 feet behind the boat in Brest Bay, in around 20 feet of water, and had good success.

This past week, anglers reported excellent smallmouth bass fishing despite windy conditions here.

Good numbers of steelhead were caught over the last week following a push of fresh fish here.

Anglers were successful targeting coho salmon trolling the bay here.

Anglers here had great success targeting walleye not too far out of the Sterling State Park channel and north of that in 15 to 20 feet of water, trolling with artificial lures.

Anglers did well targeting coho salmon and smelt throughout the bay here, with cisco also being caught.

Anglers here reported good numbers of coho salmon and cisco caught.

Coho salmon fishing returned to the excellent level seen before a recent storm here.
