Anglers who did make it out in this area reported good catches of lake trout, Chinook, steelhead and coho.

Anglers reported large catches of pink salmon and lake trout here, with some coho and chinook salmon caught as well.

The salmon run came earlier than expected in Cheboygan this year.

On Lake Erie, walleye were reported to have somewhat come back in deeper waters near the Michigan-Ohio line.

Boat anglers in the area were reporting good numbers of Chinook salmon along with a mix of coho salmon, steelhead and lake trout.

Good numbers of walleye were caught while trolling in this area.

On Lake Erie, yellow perch were abundantly caught out from the Raisin Riven using minnows on perch rigs in around 20 feet of water.

Good catches of perch occurred in 15 to 20 feet of water in various weed beds to the north and south of this harbor.

After the recent rain and wind, fishing for walleye in the slot improved on this fishery.
