Pennsylvania Fish, Boat officer says ‘no one asked us about losing deputies’

Questions abound about the abrupt dismissal effective Sept. 1 of 174 deputy officers serving the Pennsylvania Game and Fish & Boat commissions.
Lawmakers, deputies and sportsmen alike have asked about why the action was taken so close to hunting seasons, what is the real reason for ending the long-standing deputies programs, and is there a plan in place to make up for the services supplied by deputies?
