Fishing for walleyes in Fond du Lac County’s Long Lake has been a grueling effort lately, but anglers can take heart with some help on the way in the form of about 750,000 walleye fry that were stocked in the lake last week.
The fry were hatched in a new Walleyes For Tomorrow (WFT) hatchery trailer that was placed on the south end of the lake this spring. It is the first time a hatchery trailer has been used at Long Lake, which covers 423 acres in Fond du Lac and Sheboygan counties.
