Fishing Highlight of the Week: Knit gun socks, used to protect rifles and shotguns, make great sleeves for fishing rods, especially those that break down. They’re very cheap, protect rods and keep them together and out of harm’s way on the way to the lake or stream. Most are stretchy enough that they have room for reels, too.
