State government officials in particular and a good portion of the general public will tell you that energy generated by the winds of Minnesota is a good thing.
Just how “clean” it is will be known for sure when many of us are being fondly remembered – for our cheery demeanor, our contributions to humankind during our time on Earth, and for our fantastic homemade salsa – during holidays in the far future. At present, the state DNR has assembled an internal, multi-divisional group whose mission, boiled down, is to address issues that have arisen amid the continued proliferation of easements secured in western and southwestern Minnesota by wind-generation companies.
