Record 3,000 students participating in New York clay target league

“Clay target shooting sports are accessible to everyone, and the opportunity to participate on their school’s team influences athlete’s lives for the better," said John Nelson, President of the USA Clay Target League. (Stock photo)

Another New York State High School Clay Target League season is in progress this year with 3,058 student athletes from 174 New York  schools. That number breaks a spring participation record, which has continued to happen as the sport grows in popularity across the state.
Supported by hundreds of coaches, team staff, and other volunteers, the league’s nine-week spring season began in April and will conclude May 25th.
