Backyard and Beyond: The kestrel kids

Marguerite Eichelberger watched a young falcon eat its prey.

Marguerite Eichelberger has been keeping an eye on a kestrel family on a friend’s property, enjoying the antics of the young falcons after fledging from their nest cavity. She was on hand to take photos as the young falcons caught and ate prey, such as June bugs, mice, and even a bat.
