Streams of Thought: Remembering first muskie catch from Ontario creates excitement to return

There are days when 1992 doesn’t seem long ago. That was the year I joined four friends on a journey to a remote island on Lake of the Woods in Ontario, to fish for a few days and presumably to escape a music scene in such disarray that “Achy Breaky Heart” had inexplicably risen to the top of the charts.
The trip in 1992 set the stage for the 30-plus ventures since then. I remember some of the years’ tales better than others, but I vividly recall that first muskie. See you soon, Ontario.
