Iowa’s John Prochnow, Berkley fish scientist, reflects on Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame induction

In July of 2022, the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame released its 2022 class of Hall of Fame inductees. One of the six inductees was John Prochnow, renowned chemist, inventor and lure designer with Pure Fishing located in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Prochnow, who was nominated by Steve Pennaz, a fishing industry icon known around the world as one of the top multi-species anglers, looks back at his selection.
