Much discourse has focused around genetically-modified crops – corn, soybeans, small grains – that are processed into the food we eat. I think the concern is unfounded and GMO crops are actually beneficial when it comes to yield and even nutrition.
Like it or not, genetically modified crops are here to stay, but corn and soybeans aren’t the only things sprouting from the soil with altered DNA. Soon, it appears, we could even have GMO forests.
