Managing black vulture damage in Illinois

While black vultures normally feed on carrion, they may on occasion attack calves, lambs, piglets, and other newborn livestock.
The ‘unpleasant’ migratory bird is protected in Illinois, but agencies team up to offer special nuisance permits.
