During the early morning hours of June 2, Calumet’s Jolene Raudio had to deal with the nightmare many dog owners dread – one of her cherished pets had been killed and partially eaten 300 feet from her home on the 80-acre farm where she lives with her daughter and parents in Michigan’s Houghton County.
Gray wolves were blamed. A representative from the Michigan DNR visited the property to verify the report.
