DNR biologists are still monitoring a widespread die-off of invasive silver carp in the Illinois River, saying the event appears to be the result of natural environmental conditions rather than pollution or chemical contamination.
The fish kill occurred in late June in the Peoria Pool of the Illinois River, stretching roughly from Henry to Peoria.
