Family’s deer hunting tradition born on 3D archery targets at the Ohio State Fair
A visit to the Ohio DNR booth at the Ohio State Fair started a family tradition for Greg and Erica Hitzhusen and their oldest son, Eli.
The family attended the fair every year, and the kids’ favorite spot was the Ohio DNR’s space at the fairgrounds. They liked the fishing, the lumberjack show, kayaking, and more. But what really attracted Eli were the target ranges. One year, he visited with his grandfather, Fred Hitzhusen.
