MAY 23: Becoming an Outdoors Woman Fabulous Fungi and Foraging. Join a certified foraging expert to learn all about the basics of safe foraging practices. This program includes a lesson on uses of foraged finds as well as a walk through the woods to find what is in season! JUNE 12: Pheasant Friday at South Higgins Lake State Park. Join representatives from Pheasants Forever and learn about firearm safety and this organization’s effort to restore the habitat for these beautiful birds. Participants will get a hands-on opportunity to shoot a BB gun with expert instruction in a safe environment. There will also be hands on activities to learn about grass lands and pollinators.
