Oak Duke: Rainbow trout becomes a steelhead

A Lake Ontario Rainbow trout was hooked and reeled in near Point Breeze, N.Y.
Big deal? Lots of Great Lake Rainbows are caught each year. Thousands. But this steelhead’s downstream journey logged 140 miles starting near the Pennsylvania line. This itinerant trout’s trip had its genesis at the Randolph Fish hatchery.
