Jeremiah Haas: Examining the pros and cons of dam removal, impact on fish

Recently, there was a public meeting with discussion of the potential pros and cons of removing the Sears and Steel dam on the Rock River on the edge of the Quad Cities. At this point, it is still in the study stage, but a decision will be coming soon on potential options.
Without getting into the specifics of this study on the Sears and Steel dam, here are some things to consider when discussing dam removal.
