Juvenile striped bass production still dropping in the Hudson River

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation recently issued an update on the Hudson River’s Atlantic striped bass Juvenile Abundance Index (JAI) survey and ongoing collaborations on management of this important fishery.
DEC’s JAI determined poor reproductive success in the river for the third consecutive year.
