Illinois angler’s 57-incher latest to earn Wisconsin muskie record

An Illinois firefighter and paramedic who also happens to be an avid muskie angler has been getting attention in the winter of 2026 for a fish he caught in the summer of 2025.
The fish was a 57-inch muskie, which explains the post-catch-hoopla. Actually, it is post catch-and-release hoopla.
