‘Jug fishing,’ gillnet use alleged in Wisconsin’s Vilas County

Wisconsin conservation wardens Matt Meade and Tim Price recently cited six Illinois residents for multiple illegal fishing operations – including “jug fishing” and the use of gillnets – following a warden hotline tip this past September on a lake in Vilas County.
The six men cited were Roman Maslii, Dmytro Sherman, and Oleksandr Kaskiv of Chicago, Ill., Vitalii Kolodii and Yaroslav Koziar of Justice, Ill., and Roman Yarema, of West Dundee, Ill.
