For Minnesota ice anglers itching to wet their newest lures, fire up their augers, or otherwise test technology recently added to their arsenals, the time is near. That’s according to an array of bait shop and resort personnel across the entirety of the state.
In fact, ice thickness on Upper Red Lake in far northern Minnesota earlier this week nearly mirrored that of lakes around Fairmont, some 350 miles due south.
