Young doe – head in jar – eludes rescuers in suburban Pittsburgh

As accustomed to humans as suburban deer may be, the public is advised to “not try to take care of things” themselves, as a matter of safety. (Stock photo)

Pennsylvania game wardens were on the lookout for a young doe roaming suburban Pittsburgh with its head stuck in a jumbo cheese ball jar in recent weeks.
Concerned citizens in the South Hills began calling the Pennsylvania Game Commission Nov. 16, and game wardens responded, but the deer was still on the loose five days later.
