Monster king salmon wins New York’s Summer Lake Ontario Counties Derby by 9 ounces

That Yogi Berra quote was most appropriate for this year’s Summer Lake Ontario Counties Trout and Salmon Derby that concluded July 27. In the end, it was Larry Keppen, Jr., of Marion, in Wayne County, catching a monster 32-pound, 13-ounce king salmon the final weekend of the derby to win the $15,000 grand prize, along with another $1,000 check for top salmon for the week.
