Piebald buck ‘Zeus’ showcases unique antler growth at Michigan’s Deer Ranch

This piebald buck, known as Zeus, sported an impressive non-typical rack with 30 points in 2024. Now a 5-year-old, he lives at the private, fenced Deer Ranch in St. Ignace, Mich., and can be viewed live by the public. (Photo by Richard P. Smith)

If you want to see what a white-tailed buck with a huge set of antlers looks like on the hoof, you can do so at the private Deer Ranch in St. Ignace.
What’s unique about the whitetail, besides his big antlers, is that he is a piebald and is mostly white in color. He has a pink nose and hooves, but lacks the pink eyes of a true albino.
