For four decades, the annual Department of Natural Resources (DNR) trawling survey of Lake Winnebago has painted a picture of the health of Wisconsin’s largest inland lake and the many species of fish that course through its waters.
The latest iteration, the 2024 Lake Winnebago Bottom Trawling Assessment Report, offers a bounty of insights gleaned from the capture of 158,886 individual fish of 22 different species.
