Michigan DNR says Lake Erie walleyes in ‘sweet spot’

The walleye fishery in Lake Erie is in “excellent shape” and should continue to provide fantastic fishing for the foreseeable future. Perch fishing also remains strong and is expected to continue that trend. That’s the word from Jim Francis, the Michigan DNR Lake Erie Basin coordinator.
“We are still experiencing some of the best walleye fishing ever on Lake Erie,” Francis told Michigan Outdoor News.
