There’s little doubt that Michigan offers outstanding fishing opportunities for a wide variety of species.
Southeast Michigan alone offers some of the best bass, walleye and muskellunge fishing, anywhere in America and other fisheries across the state – steelhead on Lake Michigan tributaries, for instance – offer virtually unmatched quality. But one Michigan angler thinks our state could be the best in the country for a less heralded species with a little effort: northern pike.
