Sure, the calendar said March 20 was officially the first day of spring, but like any other year, I paid no attention to that designation.
Neither, too, do many wildlife species. Spring isn’t a date on the calendar each year. It’s a feeling, a sound, something that nudges me out of the sluggish state I typically settle into after deer season and the holidays.
