Michigan trout season offers a real opening, going from no fishing to plenty of it. And, it just gets better and better.
We like fresh starts. The first day of school. Ash Wednesday or its preparatory counterpart in your faith tradition. The first day of big-league baseball, on the heels of the first day of spring. The magic of the deer opener November 15 remains, but not with the aura it had before bowhunting exploded in popularity and special seasons clogged up the fall calendar before and after it.
