This may seem a tad early, especially for my northern friends, but after watching the weather forecast for southern Illinois on a recent morning, I can feel in my mushroom ‘spidey sense’ that things are about to get popping in the woods. Soon.
Nothing says spring in southern Illinois like a skillet full of fresh crappie or bluegill fillets and morel mushrooms.
