Raptor ‘repair shop’ releases eagle in Spooner, Wis.

Bitter January wind swirling snowflakes on a dark Sunday morning did not keep 35 souls gathered at Spooner Elementary School from braving the cold to see a bald eagle set free.
“This is amazing,” said a smiling Dr. Kim Ammann, founder of Winged Freedom Raptor Hospital in Spooner, as people exited their vehicles. “I expected maybe three people.”
