Ice might be slow to form again this winter in New York, but why spend the time waiting for that special time of year indoors?! Get out and fish!
The last few years have been poor for ice fishing and it motivated me to pivot and begin exploring open water opportunities that we have in late fall/early winter. This transitional time of year can provide great action and you will find very little competition from other anglers.
