Wapogasset and Bear Trap are productive lakes that receive heavy recreational boating use, high angling pressure, but still have quality, diverse fisheries.
The DNR last surveyed Wapogasset and Bear Trap in 2019 and 2021 to estimate adult walleye and muskie densities. The team assessed catch rates of largemouths, smallmouths, northern pike, bluegills, and other panfish to estimate abundance.
