Legal light came and went. A solitary, camo-clad deer hunter lugged his gear over a series of downed trees on a path leading out of the Rome Pond State Wildlife Area near the town of Sullivan. As he neared the entrance, he was illuminated by seven headlamps heading into Rome Pond.
