Steve Piatt: It’s good to have a friend with a fishing boat

Terry Catlin was my friend even before I knew he owned a great fishing boat.
Actually, he owns two. But before that we were traveling turkey hunters, laughing and joking our way through a Kansas adventure that included a couple of Rio Grande longbeards as well as a middle-of-the-night knock on our hotel door from a Springfield, Missouri, police officer wondering why we had left open the door of our rental car – with our guns still safely cased inside.
