Reflecting on memories from the Northwest Sportshow with 2024 show this week in Minnesota

Three decades ago – three! – my dad, uncle, and I were at the Northwest Sportshow. This was a big deal to me because my family had just moved from Detroit Lakes, Minn., where we lived on a lake, to Bloomington, where we did not live on a lake.
The show was a highlight of the year for me. There was new fishing tackle to see and I had the opportunity to meet some of the people I watched on TV.
