Largemouths on growth spurt in Illinois’ Lake Mattoon

The numbers tell a story, with bigger bass being brought to tournament scales. According to DNR’s data on the 54 fishing tournaments held on the lake in 2022, several largemouth bass over the 6-pound mark were brought to the weigh-in.
