A spate of summer-like weather triggered a recent fish die-off at Lake Marburg in Codorus State Park, York County.
Although it isn’t unusual for fish to succumb to springtime spawning stress, a sudden spike in water temperatures made this year’s loss of white perch and gizzard shad “more intense,” according to park educator Renae Weidner.
