There was another newsletter that was just as interesting. It was the voice of the Lake Ontario Trout and Salmon Association and they were shouting out important pieces of angling information to its members. There was lamprey control funding in danger and a letter-writing campaign was being pushed. A new pipeline at the Salmon River Fish Hatchery was to be completed by the end of the year to allow for cooler water in the summer and warmer water in the winter for increased production (yes, back in 1989).
